Properties > Groups / Attribute Sets

Definition and management of groups and attribute sets.

Groups are grouping different properties. They are shown in the upper table .The groups are not  database objects but labels assigned to the different properties for better identification. The group name "Default" will be assigned if no groups are defined. Groups identifying material properties (assigned to material names) shall get the relevant creep, shrinkage and relaxation laws as direct parameters. These are then automatically assigned to the materials with assigning the group name.

Attribute Sets describe attributes of reference sets of cross-sections. They are only related to reference sets describing the position and distribution of reinforcement groups in a cross-section (see Cross section definition).  Attribute Sets are assigned to those reinforcement groups and describe the type and the  physical parameters of the reinforcement bars, such as material, diameter and cross- section area of the group. Type and material parameters are used in the design routines  as input values. The cross-section areas are result values. Additional properties such as maximum diameter are only used in special situations (e.g. in the crack width check).

SettingDescription
Upper table Table of defined groups with directly assigned parameters.
SettingDescription
Group Group name
Description Descriptive text of the group.
Lower table Table of defined attribute sets.
SettingDescription
Group Group name
AttrSet Name of the attribute set
Material Name of the material assigned the reinforcement
Type Type of the assigned reference set.

Only for attribute sets assigned to reference sets describing a reinforcement group:

SettingDescription
MaxD maximum diameter of reinforcement bars
Max.Reinf. maximum reinforcement content (cross-section area)
Min.Reinf.(A) minimum reinforcement content (cross-section area)
Min.Reinf.Fact. ratio of minimum reinforcement related to the beam cross-section (absolute value, not in percent or per mille).
Note: Minimum reinforcements defined in Min.Reinf.(A) and in Min.Reinf.Fact. are added (both considered) if both values are defined (Amin = Min.Reinf.(A) + Ac*Min.Reinf.Fact.) with Ac = cross-section area of concrete.
